Question 1 of 20 · Foundation

Coach Aiko coaches Rahul, a senior engineer, in a programme his employer pays for. The three-way agreement says the sponsor receives only attendance and the themes Rahul chooses to share. Halfway through the engagement, Rahul's manager phones Aiko. He asks whether Rahul has talked about leaving the company, because a retention decision is due next week. What would the coach do?

Choose the best action and the worst action.

  • Confirm what Rahul has said about leaving, as the sponsor pays and the decision affects him.
  • Tell the manager that Rahul seems committed overall, without giving any specific details from sessions.
  • Explain that the agreement limits what she can share, and suggest the manager asks Rahul directly.
  • Say she will ask Rahul in their next session whether she may pass on his plans.
