Booking a call with a coach
Connect with a coach first, then book a session from their profile or booking link. Pick a session and a time, and the session is confirmed straight away.
On Robin, you book sessions with coaches you are connected with. So you connect first, and then you book. When you book, you pick one of their session types and a time that works, and the session is confirmed straight away.
First, connect
- Find a coach under Coaches → Browse, and open their profile.
- Tap Connect with and their name. On a phone, the button can say Reach out about peer coaching.
- If you want to, add a short note. Then send it. Robin sends your profile with your note.
Until the coach accepts, you cannot message them or book a session with them. Robin suggests some times that could work for an intro call. The coach can accept your request, or book one of those times, which also accepts it. When they accept, you are connected.
Where booking starts
When you are connected, there are three ways in, and they all lead to the same place:
- From a coach's profile. Open their profile and tap Schedule.
- From your conversation. In a chat with another coach, open the call menu (the video button at the top) and tap Schedule a session.
- From their booking link. Coaches can share a link like
practicewithrobin.com/book/their-name. The link takes you straight to their session menu. If you are not connected yet, the booking page asks you to connect first.
Picking a session and a time
- Choose what you would like to do. Get to know each other, or peer coaching. For peer coaching, choose who coaches this time.
- If the coach offers more than one length, choose a length.
- Pick a time. The list shows times in your timezone. It only shows slots that genuinely work: the coach's hours, their holidays, their buffers, and anything already booked. The confirm step also shows where you'll meet, such as Robin video, Google Meet or Zoom.
- If you want to, add a note. Say what you would like to focus on, or anything else helpful for the coach to know.
- Tap Book this session.
That's it. You see "You're booked in", and Robin emails you both a confirmation with a calendar invite. The session also appears under Sessions → Upcoming for both of you.
Before the call
- A calendar invite arrives in both inboxes with the confirmation, so the session goes straight into your calendar.
- Reminders arrive 3 days before, the day before and an hour before the session, by email and in the app. Neither of you needs to watch the clock. To turn some of them off, see Choosing your notifications.
When it is time, join from your Sessions page.
Changing or cancelling
Plans change. Open Sessions → Upcoming, find the session, and tap Cancel. You add a brief reason. Robin emails the reason to the other coach, and the session leaves their calendar too.
There is no separate reschedule step. To move a time, cancel the session and book a new one.
